Tunis: the medina on a weekday, the Bardo's mosaics, and Sidi Bou Said at dusk

The Tunis medina is calmer and less pushy than Marrakech's; go on a weekday morning, climb to the terraces around the Zitouna mosque, and let yourself get lost. The Bardo Museum holds the world's finest collection of Roman mosaics, and the ruins of Carthage are a short suburban train ride away with a combined ticket. Sidi Bou Said's blue-and-white village is best in the late afternoon when the day-trippers leave; have mint tea with pine nuts at Café des Nattes.
