Angkor: the three-day pass, and the small circuit at the wrong hour

The Angkor pass comes in one-, three-, and seven-day versions, with the three-day valid over ten days; buy it at the official ticket center (not from anyone else), with a photo taken on the spot. Skip the sunrise crowd at Angkor Wat's pond once and instead go to Angkor Wat mid-afternoon, when the buses have moved on, and see Ta Prohm and Bayon early. Hire a tuk-tuk driver for the day; they know the rhythm. Banteay Srei and Beng Mealea are quieter half-day trips.
