Lisbon's tram 28 at 8 a.m., and the taxi from the airport

Tram 28 is a working tram, not a tour, and by mid-morning it's a packed pickpocket paradise. Ride it before 8 a.m. or after 8 p.m., or take tram 12 and 24 for the same hills with fewer people. From the airport, the metro runs straight into the center for the price of a normal ticket; if you need a taxi, use the ride apps or confirm the meter is on. The Viva Viagem card with "zapping" credit works on metro, trams, buses, and ferries.
