Seoul: hanok stays in Bukchon, and the hike up Bugaksan

Sleeping in a hanok, a traditional wooden house, is easy in Bukchon and Seochon, and both neighborhoods are a short walk from Gyeongbokgung palace; wear a rented hanbok and the palace entry is free. Seoul is ringed by mountains with trails you can reach by subway: Bugaksan's fortress wall walk and Inwangsan give views over the whole city. Gwangjang Market is for bindaetteok pancakes and mayak kimbap; go at lunchtime.
