The louage system, and the dinar you can't take home

Louages, shared minivans that leave when full from dedicated stations, connect every town and are fast and cheap; say your destination at the station and someone points you to the right van. Trains link Tunis with Sousse and Sfax. The dinar is a closed currency: you can't legally take it out of the country, and you'll need receipts to change it back, so withdraw modestly. Tunisia is the most liberal country in North Africa, but modest dress outside beach resorts is still the norm.
