Budapest transit: 24-hour passes, and the free view from Gellért Hill

Budapest's transit is cheap and the 24- or 72-hour travel card covers metro, trams, and buses, including the airport bus 100E's sibling routes (100E itself needs its own ticket). Tram 2 along the Pest riverbank is a sightseeing ride for a regular fare. The view from the Citadella on Gellért Hill and from Fisherman's Bastion's lower terraces costs nothing; the Parliament tour is cheap for EU citizens and should be booked online.
