The eVisa, prayer-time pauses, and what to wear

Most visitors get the tourist eVisa online before flying, and citizens of several countries can get a visa on arrival; check your eligibility on the official Visit Saudi site, not a third-party agent. Shops and restaurants may pause briefly at prayer times. Dress is modest for everyone: covered shoulders and knees, and women no longer need an abaya or headscarf in public, though loose, long clothing is expected. Alcohol is not sold.
