Temple Bar prices, and the weather that changes four times a day

Temple Bar is lively and charges Dublin's highest prices for drinks; the pubs a few streets away (around Camden Street, or the old-fashioned ones like the Long Hall) are where the city drinks. Irish weather is rarely terrible and never settled: bring a waterproof layer every day and don't trust a blue morning sky. Summer days are long, with light until 10 p.m. in June, which is the real reason to come then; winter days are short and the west coast is windswept.
