Museums: book the slot, and find the quiet ones

The Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, and Anne Frank House all run on timed tickets bought online; Anne Frank House tickets are released six weeks ahead on Tuesdays and sell out within hours, so set a reminder. The Museumkaart annual pass is sold to visitors and pays for itself in four or five museums. Smaller gems with no line: the Rembrandt House, Museum Van Loon's canal-house interior, and the free courtyard of the Begijnhof.
