AlUla: Hegra tombs by guided tour, and the Elephant Rock at sunset

Hegra, the Nabataean tomb city, is visited only with a licensed tour booked through the Experience AlUla site; tours run by bus and on foot and fill up in the cool months from October to March. The Old Town of AlUla, a mudbrick maze, is free to wander and comes alive in the evening. Elephant Rock has seating and cafés for sunset. Summer heat makes daytime visits hard; the winter months are the season.
