Cruz del Sur and Oltursa run safe, comfortable long-distance buses with reclining seats; the overnight Lima–Arequipa or Cusco–Puno routes save a hotel night. In the Sacred Valley, collectivo minivans between Cusco, Pisac, and Ollantaytambo cost next to nothing. The Cusco "boleto turístico" covers many ruins and museums around the city and valley for a set price, with a cheaper partial version; Machu Picchu is not included.
