Koruna, not euro, and quiet manners on the tram
Czechia keeps its own currency, the koruna, and euro prices in tourist areas carry a bad rate. Czechs are reserved in public: keep your voice down on trams, give up seats to the elderly without being asked, and greet shopkeepers with "dobrý den." Shoes come off in homes. Smoking is banned indoors in pubs and restaurants since 2017. Outside Prague and Brno, English fades; a few Czech words earn goodwill.
