Pix, cards, and the Brazilian hello

Brazil runs on Pix, an instant bank-transfer system, and cards are accepted nearly everywhere, including by street vendors with machines; cash is needed mostly for small towns and tips. Brazilians greet with a kiss on the cheek (one or two depending on the state) and stand close when talking; a handshake is fine for business. Portuguese, not Spanish, is the language, and locals appreciate the difference. Time is flexible for social plans and firm for buses and flights.
