London: tap in with your card, and stand on the right

You don't need an Oyster card: tap a contactless bank card or phone at the gates and the system charges the cheapest fare, with daily and weekly caps. Tap in and out, always with the same card. On escalators, stand on the right and walk on the left; blocking the left side is the one thing that makes Londoners speak to strangers. The bus is cheaper than the Tube and shows you the city.
